Over the years I’ve collected a lot of images. And I mean just gigs and gigs. Its been roughly estimated that I have at least a terabytes’ worth laying around here. Unfortunately most of it stays on my computer. But, tonight I diligently decided to purge old images and move them to one of my external hard drives. (With redundant off-site backup! Not that naïve.) It’s actually amazing what I’ve previously decided wasn’t worth editing, and what I’ve said “Oh…I’ll come back to that”. Well, I also took the time to peruse through these older images. I found one, not that old – but still one of those “Oh…I’ll come back to that” and edited it up. I always meant to go back to that shoot, and now I finally did. I like to call them reclaimed images. Whenever I do this, I usually toss off the original idea I had for the image and go about it in a different way – I think it worked.
Over the next few days, I’m sure I’ll go through a bunch more with probably only an additional edit or two.
I’m also equally amazed at what I thought was a good shoot, only to have it still look like utter junk.
